News Release — The 24th CPHI China & 19th PMEC China 2026 officially wrapped up on June 18 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre after a three-day exhibition. Centered on the theme New Standards, New Functions, New Ecosystems, the flagship pharmaceutical industry event built a global platform for industrial cooperation, technological innovation and cross-border business docking.
Co-hosted by Informa Markets, CCMEPI and Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo, the show covered an exhibition area of 250,000 ㎡. It gathered over 3,700 domestic and global exhibitors from 33 countries, attracting 110,000 professional buyers across 180 countries and regions. Leading Chinese pharmaceutical, CXO and pharma equipment enterprises showcased core products, alongside global suppliers offering cutting-edge APIs, excipients, intelligent production equipment and medical packaging solutions.
Focusing on mainstream industrial trends, the exhibition launched three featured zones covering biotech innovation, digital smart manufacturing and green low-carbon production. It highlighted mRNA therapy, AI pharmaceutical R&D, closed-loop solvent recycling and energy-saving automated production lines, echoing global carbon compliance and sustainable manufacturing requirements. Meanwhile, over 100 concurrent summits and cross-border procurement meetings addressed global pharmaceutical supervision rules, supply chain stability and overseas market expansion, facilitating plenty of on-site long-term cooperation deals.
Overseas purchasers affirmed that CPHI & PMEC China remains the most pivotal platform to source compliant, high-quality Chinese pharmaceutical supplies, which further consolidates China’s pivotal status in the global pharmaceutical supply chain.
Organizers officially announced at the closing ceremony that CPHI & PMEC China 2027 will relocate to National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Hongqiao next June. Boasting superior transportation, larger single-floor venues and upgraded negotiation & conference facilities, the new Hongqiao venue will optimize visitor experience, expand international exhibition zones, and add pharmaceutical compliance service sectors. The event will keep empowering global pharmaceutical industrial collaboration, and welcomes worldwide industry players to gather in Hongqiao in 2027.
